USO event at the  Armory

Connie Moore, family program coordinator for the 113th Wing, stuffs boxes  with Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, during a USO event at the  Armory Wednesday. Dr. Biden and other volunteers stuffed more than 1,500 boxes filled with calling cards, Kodak cameras, grocery store certificates  and other useful items for the families of Florida National Guard soldiers  deploying to Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. The packages also contained  messages from the deploying Guard men and women to their families. The effort  was part of a new pilot program the USO intends to continue to reach out to  the families of deploying personnel.USO photos by Mike Theiler more photos here…
