Benefits & Entitlements 

Tuition Assistance
DCNG has one of the most comprehensive tuition assistance programs in the United States . We will cover up to 100% of the cost of tuition for private high schools, vocational schools, associate, bachelors, and masters degrees. In some instances, we can even pay up to 100% for a soldier to pursue an M.D., D.O., P.A., or J.D.

We have federal tuition assistance of up to 100% for undergraduate and graduate degrees with limits of $250 per semester hour, $167 per quarter hour, and $16.66 per clock hour up to $4,500 per year. See the following resource links below for additional information.  

District of Columbia (DC) Air and Army National Guardsmen have up to $6,000 in tuition assistance available to them for their education endeavors.  Army National Guardsmen have both federal ($4,500) and state tuition assistance ($1,500) available to them for every fiscal year they participate in the Guard.  DC Air National Guardsmen do not have the option of using federal tuition assistance.  Therefore, the state tuition assistance program will pay up to $6,000 per fiscal year for its members. To apply, fill out the District tuition assistance form and the DCNG statement of understanding form below.

GI Bill
GI Bill benefits encompass more than just one benefit. They include Chapter 30 for active duty and AGR soldiers, Chapter 1606 for traditional Guardsmen, Kicker Bonuses, and Chapter 1607 benefits for soldiers mobilized after 09-11-01 for greater than 90 days. Bonus and Loan Repayments
Bonuses may be available up to $20, 000 and student loan repayments may be available up to $50, 000 dependent on a number of factors. For more information contact your unit administrator or recruiting.
