MILFORD, Mass. – 1st Lt. Ana Monteiro, the Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist at Massachusetts National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters here, conducts mandatory Federal Technician Equal Employment Opportunity training with technicians who work at Joint Force Headquarters here, June 28, 2011.
Monteiro went on to teach a Prevention of Sexual Harassment, or POSH, class that illustrates different types of harassment in the office.
To work as a Federal Technician employees must complete annual training similar to mandatory military training, said Monteiro. The training varies slightly in content though, so it is important to understand the additional rights and regulations of the technician positions.
