CAMP EDWARDS, Mass. - Maj. Gen. Joseph C. Carter, The Adjutant General, Massachusetts National Guard, thanks the 334 Soldiers and Airmen of the Massachusetts National Guard deployed here, Sept. 4, 2010. The National Guard was called up to state active duty to support the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency if needed to assist the community from the impact of Hurricane Earl. The Massachusetts National Guard is Always-Ready-Always-There to serve the people of Massachusetts and support civil authorities in affected areas as needed.
