Regional Training Institute Awards Staff

Camp Edwards, Mass. - The 101st Regional Training Institute recently recognized their staff for outstanding support during their Air Assault and Pathfinder Schools.

Col. Joseph Burch, commander of the 101st Regional Training Institute awarded the Meritorious Service Medal to Senior Tactical Officer Master Sgt. Donald B. Philpot. Philpot has served the military for 24 years.

Army Commendation Medals were bestowed upon Regional Training Institute staff members: Sgt. 1st Class Mark W. Griffin (logistics) and Sgt. Christopher T. Wharton (personnel) for outstanding support to the Air Assault School.

Army Achievement Medals were also awarded to the following peronnel: Sgt. 1st Class Michael P. Howie and Sgt. 1st Class Aaron M. Pacheco who are both instructors at the 101st Regional Training Institute.

This year alone, the 101st Regional Training Institute had over 1,200 graduates from it’s various courses offered at Camp Edwards.
