November, 2014 Public Meeting Schedule


Base Access Note: When attending a public meeting at the base you may be asked the location and name of the meeting you are attending, for example “the MMR Cleanup Team Meeting at the Welcome Center, Building 1805.”

Community Advisory Council (CAC)
The CAC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Building 1805, West Outer Road, Camp Edwards.  The CAC advises the Environmental Management Commission on issues related to the oversight of the northern 15,000 acres of Camp Edwards.  For more information contact Mark Begley at 508-968-5127 at the Environmental Management Commission.

Science Advisory Council (SAC)
The SAC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 6 at 5:30 p.m. at Building 1805, West Outer Road, Camp Edwards.  The SAC advises the Environmental Management Commission on technical issues related to the oversight of the northern 15,000 acres of Camp Edwards.  For more information contact Mark Begley at 508-968-5127 at the Environmental Management Commission.

Environmental Management Commission (EMC)
The EMC meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Building 1805, West Outer Road, Camp Edwards. The EMC meets to discuss the oversight, monitoring, and evaluation of all activities that occur on the northern 15,000 acres of Camp Edwards.   For more information, contact Mark Begley at 508-968-5127 at the EMC.

JBCC Military Civilian Community Council (MCCC)
The MCCC Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Building 1805, West Outer Road, Camp Edwards. The Joint Base Cape Cod Military-Civilian Community Council is an advisory board formed to provide interaction between community representatives and base officials for timely and consistent notification regarding military mission projects, policies, and activities of mutual interest.  For more information contact Emily Kelly at 508-968-5146 at the Environmental & Readiness Center.

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is holding a public comment period on the Remedy Selection Plan for the J-3 Range site. The comment period will run from October 13, 2014 – November 13, 2014.  The Remedy Selection Plan outlines the proposed remedy to address contamination at the site.  Copies and information on how to comment are available on the Impact Area Groundwater Study Program Web site at jbcc-iagwsp.org and at the libraries in Bourne and Sandwich.
